The Legacy
Of Music
Everybody
at one time or another wanted to learn how to play the guitar
but never knew how to get started. It's a lot easier than
you think, and you'll never know unless you give yourself
a chance.
The oldest song in the world was discovered in the Syrian
city of ancient Ugarit, (modern day Ras Shamra), and believed
to be about 3,400 years old. The tablets date back to approximately
1400 B.C and contain a hymn to the moon god's wife, Nikal.
The forms of musical notation were markings of cuneiform
origin in the Hurrian language with borrowed Akkadian expressions.
Music has been in existence since ancient times! Music is
in all things. It is in the city we live in, in our work
places, in the quietness of our being, and in nature itself.
Everyday our heart continuously beats a rhythm but many
times goes unnoticed.
One's expression is of the essence. What better way to express
one's self but through art, or more specifically, through
the endowment of music.
Harmony has always been, but our senses have become deadened
or disinterested because of the busyness . We have forgotten
how to recognize harmony. We have to re-train ourselves
to listen to music.
It brings me great pleasure that you have taken the first
step at becoming a part of history and joining the legacy
of music.
